Job Description :
We are looking to add a Banquet Set-Up Attendant to our team. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that believes our team members are our most important resource and therefore take great pride in selecting individuals that help us to achieve our company's mission.The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for preparing and setting up banquet rooms, ensuring the event space meets the specifications and standards set by the client or event coordinator. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work as part of a team to create a seamless event experience Responsibilities:
  • Event Space Setup:
    • Prepare and arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other furniture according to the event specifications or floor plans.
    • Set up decor, centerpieces, and any other items requested by the client or event planner.
    • Ensure the event space is clean and free of debris before, during, and after the setup process.
    • Set up necessary equipment such as, podiums, stage setups
    • Work with the banquet captain, event planners, and catering staff to ensure all requirements are met.
    • Follow instructions and adjust set-up as needed based on last-minute changes or client requests.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance:
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet room or venue before, during, and after the event.
    • Ensure that the area is cleared of trash, dishes, or leftover items following the event.
  • Breakdown and Tear-Down:
    • Assist with the breakdown of the event space, removing furniture, equipment, and decorations in an orderly manner.
    • Properly store or dispose of any used items according to company or event policies.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all setup practices follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
    • Ensure that walkways and exits remain clear, and furniture is arranged in a way that promotes safety for event attendees.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service, responding to client requests or issues promptly.
    • Assist with guest needs during the setup and teardown phases if necessary.
Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in banquet or event setup is preferred, but not always required.
    • Familiarity with basic event equipment, furniture, and safety protocols is an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Physical stamina to lift, move, and arrange heavy furniture and equipment.
    • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and event staff.
    • This role often requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move furniture and event equipment (often 25 lbs or more).
    • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
