Altro Paradiso, opened in 2016 by chef and owner Ignacio Mattos, is inspired by the flavors, textures and warmth of Italian food and wine traditions. Located on a sunny corner across from Hudson Square, it takes cues from classic European bistros and New Yorks neighborhood institutions.

Altro Paradiso, an Italian-inspired restaurant in SoHo, is seeking bartenders. Our menu features insightfully executed interpretations of regional Italian dishes from Chef Ignacio Mattos. Our wine program is Italian-focused with approximately 300 selections plus a full bar serving both classic and house cocktails, craft beers and an array of aperitivi, amari and other spirits. All of this in a gorgeous, sun-drenched corner space.

Our cocktail program is informed by our culinary identity. We aim to produce cocktails that are honest, timeless and favor adaptations of classics using clean, straight-forward ingredients and spirits. Applicants must be highly motivated team players with positive attitudes to excel in this fun, fast-paced and convivial atmosphere. Applicants should have daytime, evening, and weekend availability.

Qualifications: * 1+ years of NYC bartending experience required

* Possess a passion for cocktails, spirits, and an eye for quality

* Strives for continuous improvement and is eager to learn and grow

* Maintains a positive attitude and works effectively as a member of the team

* Ability to follow recipes and techniques

* Ability to provide excellent customer service

* Ability to provide a high quality dining experience for guests at the bar

* Ability to articulate the philosophy of beverage program and food

* Willingness to follow set of standards in cocktail making

* Ability to work up to 4-5 shifts per week for full time or 2-3 shifts for part time

* Knowledge of aperitivo, Italian spirits, wine and cocktails is preferred.
