THE ROLE OF THE BARTENDER

Delray Beach Club seeks bartenders dedicated to providing exceptional and anticipatory service to our members and guests. The Bartenders at The Reef or High Tides will use their extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks to serve guests, offering insights into preparation methods. The Bartender must respond to all interactions efficiently, courteously, and professionally, ensuring maximum member satisfaction. The Bartender will also attend to the needs and requests of our private club members with a sense of urgency regarding the club's food and beverage areas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Delray Beach Club Standards.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients and drinks to answer questions and accommodate off-menu requests.
• Service and take orders from members seated at a bar area, offering engaging and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods.
• Anticipate member's needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to our member's concerns and requests.
• Breakdown, clean, and set up of bar and back-bar stations.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Serve food items in the bar area.
• Assist with bar inventory.
• Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
• Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Must be of legal drinking age and have any necessary certifications or licenses (e.g., bartending or alcohol service permit).
• Minimum two years of bartending or related work.
• Preferred experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or country club.
• Must be flexible with the schedule- Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Strong written and oral presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
• Ability to pour, mix, and blend various wines, spirits, and missed drinks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations and Members.
• Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
