Principal Responsibilities: The basketball coach is responsible for planning and conductingbasketball training sessions for children between the ages of 5 and 13. Thecoach will develop age-appropriate drills, games, and strategies to improve theskills and fundamentals of players. This role requires a passion forbasketball, strong communication skills, and a nurturing and supportiveapproach. Responsibilities - Develop and implement engaging and dynamic basketball drills andexercises to improve players' skills. - Teach the fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling,passing, shooting, and defense. - Coach players on proper basketball techniques, includingfootwork, hand-eye coordination, and body positioning. - Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help playersimprove their performance and develop a positive mindset. - Organize and lead team practices and games, ensuring a positiveand inclusive environment. - Communicate with parents and players regarding team updates,schedules, and player performance. - Maintain a safe and organized basketball facility, includingsetting up and breaking down equipment. - Stay up-to-date with the latest basketball techniques andstrategies through ongoing training and professional development. Minimum Qualifications: - Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and skillsdevelopment for children. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with theability to connect with children and motivate them. - Patience, empathy, and a positive demeanor when working withchildren. - Experience working with children in a structured sports orcoaching setting. - Knowledge of basketball rules and regulations. - First Aid and CPR certification, if available.
