Essential Functions:
- Actively work with the shift team to eliminate hazards in the area and promote the safest working conditions possible through the use of strong procedures, engineering controls and auditing.
- Utilize MOC in the bath and lehr area to ensure major process changes are completed safely and with as little process interruption as possible.
- Oversee the technical operations of the bath and lehr, outlining the operation window that the shift teams should operate within.
- Develop the general improvement strategy for the area and succinctly communicate that to the area process improvers, technical supervisors and operators.
- Identify, drive and oversee cost savings in the bath and lehr area
- Guide the development of the process improvers through formal and informal check-ins, AOP, personal developments plans and coaching.
- Oversee sustainability and decarbonization reporting and initiatives in the bath and lehr areas including PSM/RMP.
- Ensure consistent use of Manufacturing Excellence tools and MSTs including the shutdown avoidance gap analysis.
- Ensure consistent use of RCA for all special cause events or customer complaints and efficient follow-up on corrective actions identified.
- Oversee development and maintenance of standard setups / POR for all products
- Guide the implementation of the Daily Management System in the bath and lehr area to ensure comprehensive handovers and highlighting of open issues that need additional resources to resolve
- Promotion of QKs and HazIDs with the supervisors and technicians and well as efficient closeout and communication back to the shift crews to maintain positive momentum from employee involvement.
