Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to handle evening closing duties and prepare the athletic facility for the next day's use. Flexibility for additional shifts may be offered based on operational needs. Weekend availability is required as part of the regular schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and general upkeep of the fitness center, including cardio equipment, weight areas, machines, hallways, and common spaces.

  • Closing Procedures: At the end of each shift, ensure all fitness equipment is properly restacked and organized, all areas are cleaned and disinfected, lights are turned off, and the building is securely locked. Ensure all patrons have vacated the facility before closing.

  • Next-Day Preparation: Prepare the facility for the following day by completing all cleaning tasks and organizing the fitness areas according to a provided checklist and ideal organizational standards. The goal is to maintain the facility in a ready-to-use state.

  • Equipment Organization: Regularly straighten and organize gym equipment, ensuring weights, machines, and other resources are in their designated places.

  • Card Verification: Assist with card verification duties when necessary to support member access.

  • General Support: Provide assistance to students, staff, faculty, and the public using the fitness center. Respond to any facility needs to maintain a safe, welcoming, and functional environment.

    Advertised Salary:$12.00 per hourADA:

    This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
