Salary: $18.00 HourlyLocation : TOWN BEACHES AND LAKE MOHEGAN, CTJob Type: SEASONALSJob Number: 2025-0002Department: PARKS & RECREATIONOpening Date: 01/01/2025Closing Date: 5/15/2025 11:59 PM EasternParking Attendant is responsible for checking incoming vehicles for beach stickers, selling daily parking passes, and overseeing the parking area.- Maintaining safety and organization of the parking lots, surrounding areas, and facilities.- Monitor the number of cars that enter and exit the lot- Take payments from patrons- Turn away cars when the lot is full- Count the money at the end of your shift- Answer questions from patrons- Takes shifts on the lifeguard chair, scanning the water, enforcing rules, and answering questions posed by patrons on the beach; perform first aid as necessary - Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with Town of Fairfield policies and procedures; completes related reports as required.- Knows, follows, and enforces all Town of Fairfield parking policies, rules, regulations, and procedures- Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed. Must be 16 years old of age

The ability to work nights and weekends

Patience for dealing with busy crowds

Prior cashier or customer service preferred

The parking attendants schedule rotates weekly, but the schedule WILL include BOTH Saturdays and Sundays. The daily time frame will involve 6 hours on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends. Each rotation will involve from 35 to 38 hours per week.
