They will also be instrumental in providing insights that will guide our strategic planning and business development.Principal Accountabilities:
- Market Intelligence: Collect and analyze data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, sales, marketing, and distribution methods.
- Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze industry trends, including new product categories and advancements in beauty technology.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports, including market research findings, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to execute company strategies based on market research findings.
- Forecasting: Develop and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, or opinion polls. Interpret and forecast market trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to implement market research findings into product design, marketing strategies, and business development plans
Key Experience and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in market analysis or a similar role within the beauty industry in the United States, with a successful track record of actionable market research.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated capability in handling complex data sets and providing actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a coherent and concise manner.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in market research tools and methodologies, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
- Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically and translate insights into potential business outcomes.
- Knowledge of Beauty Industry: Up-to-date with the latest beauty industry trends, consumer behaviors, and regulatory environment in the US.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in market research, statistics, or related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
