Job Description: Before and After School LatchkeyLocation: Clinton Township, MI, 48035Skills Required:LatchkeyJob Summary:The Before and After School Latchkey person will supervise and engage with children before and after school hours. The Latchkey staff will ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care while providing a fun and educational environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with children before and after school hours
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and games
• Provide snacks and homework assistance
• Work effectively both as a team member and individual to meet the needs of each student

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude

Requirements Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide some training)Complete 16 hours of Professional Development in Early Childhood topics (annually)Before starting, you must complete the following:Fingerprinted/Background check (through school)Bloodborne PathogensProtecting God's Children Workshop (available through Archdiocese of Detroit)TB test and physicalMIRegistry health and safety trainingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalenceAvailability to work from 6:15-8:15 am (twice a week) and/or 3:15-6:00 pm (three times a week)Any availability as listed above please send resume and references to Martha Karwoski at [email protected]
