DescriptionA Behavior Technician has the unique opportunity to participate in the provision of behavior analytic services in clinic, home, and community settings under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst ® (BCBA®). A Behavior Technician will be trained and developed to act as a vital member of the Behavior Analytic Services department in various capacities, including but not limited to assisting with assessments and providing clinic, home, and community-based behavior analytic interventions to children and their families.Qualifications• High School Diploma or general equivalency• Most possess an AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card or be eligible for one• Must possess a valid AZ Driver's License• Applicants with experience working in behavioral health, preferably with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders or with a history of problem behavior, preferred. • Must meet Agency requirements for Behavioral Health Technician. • Must be at least 21 years of age.Essential Functions
  • Data Collection
  • Implement objective measurement procedures
  • Enter data, update, and create graphs
  • Assessment
  • Conduct preference assessments
  • Assist with individualized assessments
  • Assist with functional assessment procedures
  • Skill Acquisition
  • Implement behavior analytic interventions as prescribed by supervisor
  • Use contingencies of reinforcement
  • Assist with training of stakeholders
  • Behavior Reduction
  • Implement interventions based on antecedent modifications
  • Implement differential reinforcement procedures
  • Implement extinction procedures
  • Implement emergency procedures according to protocol
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Report on variables that may impact client progress and assessment activities
  • Complete objective assessment notes and document services per company guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor and colleagues
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and company reporting policies
  • Display Professional Conduct
  • Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly
  • Communicate with stakeholders as authorized
  • Maintain professional boundaries
  • Attends meetings and trainings as required
  • Attends staff meetings as scheduled
  • Provides input at staff meetings
  • Informs supervisor about any questions or concerns
  • Assists in maintaining a professional, clean and welcoming environment in the office
  • Attends to immediate sanitation issues, ensuring that lobby and restrooms are orderly and well supplied.
  • Sanitizes materials and work areas regularly according to established procedures
  • Notifies facilities support promptly when maintenance and repair needs arise
