Job Summary:Our Behavior Technicians are a critical part of our team. Our BTs provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format to children with autism in our clinics. MAC will provide all of the necessary training you will need to start your career as a Behavior Technician, as well as opportunities to grow with us through professional development, mentorship, and training. Our training program provides you with the tools you need to be successful as you learn to apply and implement behavior analytical techniques under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.Essential Functions:Work 1:1 with children and young adults with autism by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help, and social and play skills under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior AnalystUtilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over timeUse the appropriate/prescribed ratio of reinforcement for each clientAssist in the development and maintenance of instructional materialsMaintain accurate records of client performance/progress via data collection and/or clinical notes through an online and paper data collection systemManage any inappropriate behaviors that occurKeep clients motivated to learn through preference assessmentsCommunicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, teachers, parents, and principalsRespond appropriately to feedback and/or correctionReport concerns directly and promptly to your supervising BCBAToilet training and diaper changing may be requiredOccasional travel to other clinics in the region may be requiredOther duties as assigned RequirementsEducation, Experience and Skills:Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferredExperience/strong interest in working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities18 years of age or older First Aid/CPR certification is required Ability to change one's own behavior as directed by the BCBAAbility to communicate effectively with othersBe willing to learn and grow as a Behavior TechnicianMust have availability from 8am-4:30pm on weekdays Hours fluctuate depending on client availabilityMust be able to work 2 Saturdays/year Must have reliable transportation to travel to clinicMust be able to pass a state and FBI background check, and state child abuse clearanceHave knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets.
