Responsibilities of Teaching Assistants / Behavior Technicians:
- Successfully complete Orchid's training institute to become a Behavior Technician!
- Implement the teaching programs designed by supervisors
- Ensure children are safe and engaged
- Manage positive client behavior
- Record accurate, real-time data and notes using digital tools
- Teach & promote communication, behavior, social, & daily living skills in a fun, play centered setting
- Communicate with team members in a timely and collaborative manner.
- Provide services within a limited driving distance in clinic, homes and the community
- Be CONSISTENTLY on time and RELIABLY available
- Be physically able to actively supervise young children with disabilities
Qualifications:
- Experience working with or teaching children ages 2-10 years old
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Fluent in use of an ipad or chrome book
- Access to reliable transportation
- Available for 10 to 40 hours per week
Bonus Points For:
- A Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) or RBT license
- A BA or AA in Early Child or Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Work or other related fields
- At least 12 months experience in a role working in ABA with children ages 2-10 years
- Experience using online platforms to enter data and notes, such as Central Reach
