The Vital Role of a Behavioral Aide
Behavioral Aides play a pivotal role in the healthcare landscape, particularly when it comes to assisting individuals with varying degrees of mental illnesses and developmental disabilities. Their work is indispensable as they serve as the front-line observers, caregivers, and advocates for clients in their care.
As a Behavioral Aide, you'll be responsible for executing directives from the Department of Human Resources (DHR), acting as the eyes and ears of DHR in reporting on the well-being of our clients. Your duties will encompass assisting clients with personal hygiene, such as bathing and maintaining cleanliness in living areas, and observing and documenting behavior patterns, ensuring timely reporting to the medical staff.
In addition to these critical tasks, Behavioral Aides engage with clients in various educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities, helping to create a safe and effective environment for their growth and development. Your ability to maintain excellent observation skills, work harmoniously with diverse individuals, and exhibit qualities such as ethical conduct, thoroughness, and adaptability will be vital in this role.

Therefore, this position may require flexibility in your work schedule, including the potential for night shifts, weekends, and holidays. Requirements for Success
To be considered for this impactful role, you must have a minimum of one year of related experience in caregiving or an educational environment, such as hospitals, schools, daycares, special education, or autism care. Certification or eligibility for certification in crisis management and CPR/First Aid within the first 30 days of employment is required. If you are a Behavorial Aide, CPI is required.
Furthermore, we seek individuals with a strong interest in working with special needs populations and the ability to communicate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
