Pride Health is hiring a Nurse Manager Behavioral Health to support our client's medical facility in Brooklyn, NY. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Nurse Manager Behavioral Health

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11212

Job Summary: The Nurse Manager oversees the daily operations and clinical supervision of the nursing staff within the Inpatient Service. Working closely with the Director, the Nurse Manager ensures the delivery of quality patient care in alignment with regulatory standards and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing staff and manage daily operations of the unit.
  • Implement hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and clinical management.
  • Coordinate performance improvement activities across disciplines.
  • Monitor clinical activities and prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, JCAHO, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Lead and manage budget, inventory, and supply operations.
  • Provide leadership and administrative coverage on a 24-hour basis.
  • Foster professional growth and continuing education for staff.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain positive patient and team relations.
  • Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
    • At least 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry.
    • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
    • Knowledge of quality improvement processes and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

    Education & Certifications:

    • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required; Master's Degree preferred.
    • Licensed and registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
    • BLS, ACLS, and Crisis Management certifications are required.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Expertise in root cause analysis and CQI methods.
    • Strong leadership, budgeting, and administrative skills.
