Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Tandym Group : Job Details

A Residential Treatment Facility is looking for Registered Nurse to join their team in Rochester NY! About the Opportunity:

• Age Range: One of the Campuses has younger kids elementary to middle school. The other has HS aged kids.
• Shifts: Evening
• Hours: 3p-11:30p if on 8 hour shifts or 11a-11:30p if on 12 hour shifts, some flexibility on shift start/end times or length may be considered if desired. (I.e. if candidate desires 10 hr shifts or a blend of 8s/12s)
• Setting: Residential Treatment Services
• Location: Rochester

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations of clients experiencing illness, injury, or health-related psychological issues. Communicate significant findings to the designated healthcare provider and, when applicable, the legal guardian. Implement the recommended care plan.
• Document all relevant information precisely and efficiently while following medical orders for treatment.
• Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with best practices, state regulations, and agency protocols, ensuring close monitoring for potential side effects.
• Supervise and oversee the care delivered by LPNs and other health office staff members.
• Perform assessments and provide care following a physical restraint incident, adhering to all relevant regulatory standards.
• Deliver first aid during emergencies and manage patient care until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive or the individual is transported to an ER.
• Collaborate with the medical team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, clinicians, and others, to ensure seamless and high-quality care.
• Ensure that both the mental and physical healthcare needs of each child or youth are addressed promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Nursing
• NYS license as a Registered Nurse
• Valid unrestricted New York State Drivers License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.
