Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review benefit enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinate enrollment with benefit vendors.
Assure compliance with COBRA guidelines by reporting COBRA events to third party administrator; receive and record COBRA insurance premium payments.
Coordinate health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.
Coordinate 401(k) enrollment, process participant election revisions and communicate with third party administrator concerning routine administration of program.
Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Maintain all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
Provide employee relations support, as needed.
Update, monitor and maintain eligible salary adjustments/increases based on evaluations and/or approved cost-of-living adjustments.
Process personnel action forms through HRIS system in a timely fashion to keep employee records current.
Design, develop, and oversee the Health, Wellness & Safety Committee, Fair, and other activities.
Participate in planning and execution of special events for staff by sitting on committees, coordinating schedules, participating in activity or event, and staying within budget.
Administer Leave of Absence and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policies, gather documentation, and track.
Maintain electronic library and log of compensation and bonus letters.
Maintain electronic library of supervisor trainings and acknowledgements.
Maintain Aurora system database of commission rates and product lines for sales representatives.
Coordinate Workers' Compensation (WC) claims with injured worker and WC carrier and or Third Party Administrator.
Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Associate's degree from two-year College or university or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intermediate level of skill in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer, System 21 and UKG or equivalent Human Resource (HR) systems, Online Benefit Vendor Enrollment Systems.
Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to travel locally once a week, attend career fairs within the neighboring counties as needed and travel overnight to attend Sales Meetings, seminars, and/or satellite business locations two (2) to three (3) times a year.
