Overview***Please note, this is a remote position. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the Fulton, MD area.Unified Women's Healthcare is seeking a Benefits Administrator to support our Capital Women's Care affiliated practices in the Baltimore - Washington metropolitan area.Established in 1998, Capital Women's Care has been a community partner in the Mid-Atlantic area for more than 20 years. With more than 270 physicians across 78 locations, Capital Women's Care was one of the first in the ObGyn practice arena to adopt electronic health records enabling patients to travel between locations while making their medical information more accessible. Many Capital Women's Care practices also provide in-office mammography services.The Benefits Administrator position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, short-term, and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, and 401(k) retirement plan). The Benefits Administrator also provides excellent customer service, investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and review Benefits for multiple markets.Research employee benefits plans and vendors to identify those that present the best value. Design, recommend and implement new benefits programs. Examine possible plan designs and benefits cost changes. Negotiate with vendors and administrator for best plans, options, and rates across different markets.Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, and 401(k) loans. Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.Assist with new-hire orientations.Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility.Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings. Compare billings and enrollments for accuracy.Analyze current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and identify the company's stance.Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manage the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.Assist with the open enrollment process.Provide necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.Own the annual Open Enrollment process and administer employee benefits communications. Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package. Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff.Distribute mandatory plan documents and notices in accordance with the DOL and IRS (Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Material Modifications, HIPAA Privacy and other Annual Participant Notices, etc.)Oversee Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and reporting with our TPA. Responsible for annual reporting to include 5500 filings and complete annual audits in preparation for required filings.QualificationsBachelor's degreeFive to seven years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience.SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations.Efficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Efficiency with ADP and SalesforceCompensation Minimum: USD $69,000.00/Yr.Compensation Maximum: USD $80,000.00/Yr.#J-18808-Ljbffr
