Our client is seeking a contract to possible permanent Benefits Associate to join their team. In partnership with their Benefits Analyst, the Benefits Associate administers and maintains active employee benefits programs, providing guidance to employees on eligibility, coverage, and provisions. This role is responsible for the administration of all leaves and Workers' Compensation benefits, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation for a company of approximately 400 employees.
This role is hybrid 3x/week in their midtown NYC office.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with onboarding and benefit enrollment in HCM.
• Advise employees on benefit programs, policies, and procedures.
• Process vendor payments and coordinate annual enrollment and Wellness events.
• Update annual enrollment documents and ensure benefit changes are accurate in HCM.
• Manage tuition assistance program and support payroll data processing for new hires and terminations.
• Administer and monitor compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local leave mandates.
• Oversee return-to-work processes and reasonable accommodations.
• Maintain confidential leave and accommodation records.
• Assist with retiree benefits administration as needed.
• Support the investigation, documentation, and filing of Workers' Compensation claims.
• Communicate benefit payments to Payroll and assist with unemployment claims.
• Other relevant responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits and relevant laws.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with ADP Workforce Now highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree required, preferred in human resources or related field.
• 2-3+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration.
• Experience in financial services or insurance industry is a plus.
