This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing our company's employee benefits program. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Compliance, Vendor Relationships, Employee Management Communication, Reporting and Analysis, HR and Benefits functions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage complex benefits programs.Responsibilities:1. Develop and implement a comprehensive benefits package that is competitive and cost-effective.2. Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws, including managing all health and welfare plans, 401k, and retirement plans.3. Manage relationships with vendors, benefits advisors, and benefits brokers to ensure services are delivered as expected.4. Communicate with employees about their benefits packages, including how to access benefits and resolve any related issues.5. Develop and deliver benefits training to HR staff and managers.6. Analyze benefits costs and suggest cost-saving measures.7. Prepare detailed reports on benefits programs and suggest improvements.8. Work closely with HR and management to integrate benefits programs into the overall HR strategy.9. Oversee the maintenance of employee benefits files and update benefits enrollment and payroll records.10. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in benefits and the industry as a whole.Qualifications:1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, preferably in a retail environment.2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3. Strong knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, including COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits terms and conditions.5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.8. Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.9. Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is preferred.10.
