Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford's 100 years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's best battery manufacturer.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Benefits Specialist at BlueOval SK will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up. The Benefits Specialist will contribute to the overall development and administration of benefits in the following way:
Manage data to support internal and external audit requests.
Prepare, collect and organize data in a timely manner.
Travel will be required for new plan enrollments as needed.
Provide the benefits department with leadership, strategic direction, and support.
Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings for all group plans.
Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
Assist in the review of plan documents and materials.
Provide suggestions for continuous improvements; work closely with payroll and HR Services.
Provide timely, accurate, courteous, and appropriate responses to employees.
Confirms provider s participation status with patient s insurance plan/network.
Work with vendor partners to develop and update feeds as necessary.
Ensure compliance with related laws, rules and regulations as needed.
Conform to all applicable HIPAA, Billing Compliance and safety policies and guidelines.
Coach and mentor assigned staff to support growth and development.
Communicate with appropriate parties to verify and document claim requests.
Responsible for all actions related to our annual open enrollment and processing of benefit elections.
Run standard reports and perform ad hoc reporting as requested.
Ensure correct pay and monitor benefit premium(s) payments for employees on FMLA/LOA.
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day benefits administration function.
Partner with relationship managers in the execution of client service needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources Administration, or other related field
5-10 years+ Human Resources experience, including significant experience successfully designing and implementing various pay and benefits programs
Experience navigating ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and emerging regulatory issues
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or other Human Resources Certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP), a plus
Experience working and implementing HRIS Systems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and computer skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills.
Effective self-starter with multi-tasking experience.
Ability to communicate to all levels within the organization.

Additional Information
Some travel may be required throughout 2023 along with future relocation to Kentucky or Tennessee (based on preference and interview)
This position will work in an office environment but will be hybrid as we build the plant and the facilities.
