POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for the research, implementation, oversight and administration of employee benefits, welfare and retirement plans and ACA reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and state laws. This includes medical, life, disability, retirement, workers comp, voluntary benefits and IRS compliance. The Senior Benefits Specialist researches benefits options and trends and makes recommended changes to the ITA Group benefit package.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, human resource management course work preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience working in a human resources team.
  • Knowledge of benefit and compliance regulations, including various federal/state regulations pertaining to qualified benefit plans, ACA, etc.
  • Ability to correctly and timely process team member benefits.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Effective human relations skills; ability to approach all interactions with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Personal computer experience; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in detail-oriented tasks requiring a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to organize work and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers' needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
