Responsibilities may include: - Provide emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual support and services to patients and their families.
- Implement and coordinate the bereavement services program and develop a bereavement plan of care.
- Provide counseling and organize bereavement support groups.
- Develop and implement educational programs and materials for patients and families on grief, loss, and adjustment.
- Prepare reports and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements for this position include: - Experience in hospice, counseling, or another field related to grieving and bereavement and demonstrated clinical experience in the areas of illness, grief and loss, individual, family, and group therapy.
- Degree in divinity, social work, theology, thanatolgy or psychology.
- Extensive experience may be substituted for education.
- Excellent communication skills and documentation and program management experience.
- Demonstrates ability to be open, sensitive, flexible, and ecumenical.
