Beverage Cart Attendant - West Woods Golf Club - City of Arvada : Job Details

Position Purpose

HIRING FOR THE 2025 GOLF SEASON

The City of Arvada operates West Woods Golf Course; this position is responsible for selling alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages and food on the 27-hole course in a warm, friendly and professional manner while exhibiting proper golf etiquette and safe driving.

Essential Functions / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Loads, restocks and unloads beverage cart daily

• Performs daily inventory and records any restocking of all products, both food and beverage

• Keeps carts clean and organized;

• Greets guests warmly and with a smile, proceeds with standard sales approach with suggestive selling and upselling; has thorough knowledge of food and beverage items available to the golfer;

• Maintains up to date knowledge of applicable liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management

• Utilizes Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports and inventory reconciliation

• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance

• Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events and course activities

• Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette

• Ability to work in inclement weather and variety of outdoor temperatures

• Attends required department meetings and training sessions

• Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Previous golf cart attendant experience preferred;

• Ability to communicate with others, ability to use good judgment;

• Strong math skills

• Ability to work independently, ability to maintain clean and neat appearance, ability to maintain adequate attendance, ability to follow instructions,

• Ability to work with a P.O.S., handle and reconcile of cash banks, ,

• Must be able to work evenings and weekends and some holidays, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and supervisors, other employees, and the general public;

• Previous guest service or bartender experience helpful;

• Background check required by City of Arvada

Qualifications - Working Environment / Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21 years or older;

• Must have valid drivers' license with acceptable motor vehicle record

• Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds on an occasional basis
