MHC Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Clinical Manager to join the Behavioral Health team at the Clinica Del Alma Health Center, located in Tucson, AZ.
The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager's primary responsibility is the supervision of staff, developing and implementing to enhance services delivery and ensuring compliance with policies and organizational standards. This position is responsible for the clinical operations of various sites ensuring each team is providing high-quality care for clients and fostering a positive and therapeutic environment to support client recovery and staff stability.
MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 14 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.
The following qualifications are required:
* Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
* 3 years' supervisory or leadership experience in behavioral health services
* Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in a behavioral health environment.
* Independent licensure with the Az Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (ex. LPC, LCSW, LIAC, etc.)
* Clinical Supervisor authorization with the Az Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be valid prior to start)
* Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire)
* Arizona driver's license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MHC)
The following qualifications are preferred:
* Experience with the State Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) health plans
* Experience with program and business development
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.
This position has the following supervisory responsibility:
Supervises and monitors performance for an assigned group of employees. Supervisory duties include providing input on hiring and disciplinary actions, overseeing work assignments and quality, scheduling and timekeeping, performance evaluations, and training and development.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
* Computer proficient, to include MS Office.
* Knowledge of State, and AHCCCS requirements.
* Thorough knowledge of current versions of DSM and ICD.
* Thorough knowledge of Board of Behavioral Health Rules and Regulations.
* Must be knowledgeable in business and administrative duties.
* Knowledge of managing a budget.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in data management systems and Microsoft office suite.
* Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital tools used in behavioral health services.
* Ability to cultivate a culture of respect and service excellence through professionalism, skilled communication, and demonstrated commitment to integrity, trust, respect, and equity.
* Proven effective leadership with demonstrated ability to effectively direct, delegate, motivate, and build high-performing, collaborative teams.
* Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, and members.
* Strong interpersonal skills and experience with problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provides direct supervision to all clinical supervisors and related staff.
* Travels to various sites for in-office work, community outreach, staff trainings, and partnership meetings as needed.
* Conducts regular audits and quality checks to ensure high-quality staff performance in client care and organizational standards.
* Monitors and evaluates clinical services to ensure staff meet the needs of the client and services are delivered in a timely, ethical, and professional manner.
* Provides ongoing training and professional development to staff.
* Conduct case reviews and consultations as needed.
* Researches and implements employment best practices and collaborates with the other MHC staff in clinical operations relevant to recovery and employment services development, implementation, and strategic planning.
* Collaborates with leadership to identify areas for improvement and growth within the behavioral health program.
* Conducts regular performance evaluations and provides ongoing feedback to support clinical staff.
* Serves as liaison between MHC and AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) and maintains familiarity with initiatives related to Behavioral health with Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), and other statewide programs.
* Participates in the identification and implementation of training activities for MHC staff in designated program areas.
* Participates in various internal planning and monitoring groups to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and accreditation standards.
