Responsibilities & Requirements
The Behavioral Health Assessment Team will provide psychiatric evaluation and support services for those medical/surgical, intensive care and emergency department patients for Kettering Health Network . This team will provide assessment services and facilitate the movement/transfer of psychiatric patients to the most appropriate location after stabilization of their medical condition is determined. The BHAT team provides coordination of all psychiatric consultation services at respective hospital sites along with tele-assessment services Network-Wide.
Masters Degree preferred; minimum Bachelor Degree in, Social Work or related field and demonstrate licensure as a PC, PCC, LSW, or LISW with 1-2 years of experience or be licensed as a Registered Nurse RN or RNC with at least 2 years experience in psychiatric nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer a minimum of one year of psychiatric hospital inpatient social work experience. Possess the ability to exercise good clinical judgment in assessing patient's mental status and ongoing inpatient programming needs. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and the ability to plan, communicate and execute work efficiently.
