We are currently offering a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus for Full-Time BHTs!We are having a 3-day Hiring Event for Mental / Behavioral Health Technicians on January 22 - 24, 2025 from 9am-6pm. The Hiring Event will take place at 4300 Brenner Dr, Kansas City, KS, 66104. We have both Full-time and Part-time positions available.Please complete an application for consideration. Walk ins are welcome. All employees of Camber Children's Mental Health (CCMH) must be at least 20 years of age, have a valid driver's license and proof of auto-insurance. Criminal background check and drug screen required.The BHT supports patients with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse by assisting with daily living activities and implementing therapeutic interventions under clinician supervision.Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assist with hygiene, meal prep, and medication management; monitor and document patient behavior and well-being.
- Behavioral Support: Implement individual treatment plans and help patients develop coping skills.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises, ensuring patient safety and de-escalating situations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and treatment progress.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals on treatment planning; attend team meetings.
- Education and Support: Educate patients and families about mental health; facilitate group therapy and workshops.
- Compliance: Follow regulations and policies, including HIPAA and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma required; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, crisis intervention, empathy, and documentation skills.
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification required; additional certifications like CBHT are a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift.
Working Conditions: May work in clinical, residential, or community settings with potential exposure to challenging behaviors; flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, may be required.Pay starts at $17.00 and has the earning potential up to $25.50, based on education, experience, and shift differentials. Shifts are as follows: Behavior Health Technician - Day Shift 7am-3:30pm Behavior Health Technician - Evening Shift 3pm-11:30pm Shift Differentials are:Weekday evenings: $3.00Weekend (Friday at 7pm-Monday 7am): $2.00Please note that these differentials compound upon one another, so if someone would be working a weekend evening shift, they could earn up to $5.00 an hour over the base pay.
