SUMMARY: Work primarily with writers to plan, write, and revise BJU Press materials to develop Biblical worldview thinking in students. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside writers to plan, write, and revise objectives, instructional materials, and assessments that support the BJU Press mandate for biblical worldview formation.
- Research various aspects of academic disciplines to determine how to integrate biblical worldview thinking into the teaching of the subject matter.
- Meet weekly with the assistant director to plan projects and receive direction.
- Meet regularly with teams to evaluate progress and plan success.
- Support classroom teachers and homeschool parents as needed by responding to telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner.
- Promote BJU Press materials as needed for VIP (Vision, Inspiration, and Purpose) guests, onsite conferences, video conferences, and BJU courses.
- Assist BJU Press in promoting Biblical Worldview shaping in new opportunities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Expertise in Biblical and Systematic Theology
- Facility with key ideas related to worldview and education
- Competence with software used in the writing process
- Pedagogical competence
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Interest in and ability to write educational materials
- Microsoft Office, InCopy
- Education degree a plus
- Teaching experience a plus
