We'll provide you with on-the-job training every step of the way.ABOUT THE JOBYou'll support Spanish and English-speaking individuals with disabilities as they achieve their goals and build independence. There will be two main components to your job responsibilities: teaching skills such as cooking and providing supervision and conflict resolution between roommates. The second component will focus on bringing Spanish speakers with disabilities together for social events and training opportunities. There will be a ton of room to express your creativity!This position can be part-time or full-time, $22 to $26 per hour, depending on experience and caseload. Flexible shifts are available between 9am-7pm on weekdays and weekends. Work would be conducted with multiple clients throughout the day at various locations in Marin County.EMPLOYEE BENEFITSFull time: The value of these benefits is approximately $1,650/month for full-time employees100% of health and dental insurance are paid for by ICS (able to add spouse or family member, paid for by employee)Life insurance policy 100% paid for by ICSCommuter stipend up to $105/month, depending on distance of commute$50/month cell phone reimbursementPaid time off each year:Vacation accrual: 7.5 to 20 days, depending on tenureHolidays: 12 days (10 company holidays, 2 you can use at any time)Sick time: 48 hoursBereavement and reproductive loss leave: up to 3 days for each401k and FSA plan enrollment availableEmployee Assistance Program availableMileage reimbursement for travel to work sites Part time: Commuter stipend up to $53/month, depending on distance of commute$25/month cell phone reimbursementPaid time off each year:Holidays: up to 10 days based on regularly scheduled work hours, plus 1 day you can use at any timeSick time: 40 hoursBereavement and reproductive loss leave: up to 3 days for each401k enrollment availableEmployee Assistance Program availableMileage reimbursement for travel to work sites DUTIES Partner with clients as they work towards their goals, such as transportation training, cooking, budgeting, organizational skills, time management and social developmentKeep detailed progress notes after each client session and update the client's file on a computerComplete and submit all forms on time, including monthly and annual reportsAttend meetings with clients, families, and other organizationsAttend staff meetings to discuss current cases and brainstorm creative solutions to challengesEngage in community outreach via one-on-one connection, events, promotions, clubs, and more QUALIFICATIONS Strong computer literacy, specifically with Gmail, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. You do not need to have any specialized vocabulary in either language.Prior experience engaging with people with disabilities or special education experience is preferred.Valid California identification such as Real ID, driver's license, or passport.
