About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Dental Administrative Assistant to provide remote support to our US-based dental clients. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a dental practice by managing patient communications, administrative tasks, and insurance processes. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with a diverse patient base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Management: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental practice management EMR software.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone and email regarding appointments, treatment plans, insurance, and billing.
- Administrative Support: Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls.
- Insurance and Billing: Process and submit insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and payment options.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Native or near-native fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Prior experience in a dental administrative role.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with dental practice management EMR software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Must have a reliable Windows-based computer and stable internet connection (Mac computers are not compatible with our systems).
- Preferred: Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and billing codes.
- Experience with different dental insurance plans.

- This is an independent contractor position. As such, it is not eligible for benefits such as health insurance. Contractors are responsible for their tax obligations.
