Job Title: Program Director – TFC (Maryland)

Reporting Relationship: National Director of Operations or designee

Position Summary

The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care and services; provision of regular and timely reports to ORR regarding operations, services, and finances; establishing a respectful and supportive workplace environment; and elevating any issues or concerns to ORR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administration coordination for program contracts while aggressively seeking growth and expansion in the local market(s) through relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain productivity standards on a monthly basis.
  • Make public appearances and presentations as requested.
  • Work collaboratively with other NYAP programs and staff throughout the organization.
  • Sign off on all required reports and submit them for processing according to agency policy.
  • Submit regular reports to the National Director or Designee.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with partner agencies through personal visits, phone calls, and written communication to assure that positive relationships exist and customer service needs are met.
  • Direct continuous quality improvement efforts to assure that service quality and reporting meet contract requirements, internally established measures and outcomes, and standards of regulatory bodies.
  • Responsible for program operations including processes and procedures to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for fiscal outcomes of the program.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with personnel policies and the program's fiscal guidelines.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
  • Be State licensed as a graduate or certified social worker.
  • Responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating the child placement service program of the agency.
  • 5 years of relevant experience working with individuals served through the child welfare system.
  • 2 years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed child care program.
  • Able to possess the administrator's license for the care provider's facility, if applicable.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
  • OTHER SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some travel is required.
  • Must be open and willing to work non-traditional work hours as well as on-call responsibilities.
  • Must be able to embrace working as a diverse team both effectively and respectfully with persons of any background, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, ability, national origin, or culture.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Must possess good verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite and NYAP specific applications.
