Job Summary The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Behavioral Health Program. S/he/they support the LBHP team in scheduling appointments, evaluations, following up with consents, tracking medication management appointments, MH referrals and other administrative tasks to support and track the provision of services to children during foster care placement and after discharge. Essential Functions: Scheduling Psychiatric and Psychological appointments Schedule meeting with FP and BP for evaluation results Supportive housing evaluations and tracking- Provider follow up regarding consents and medication management Schedule missed psychiatric appointments Upload reports to E H R (Psychiatric and Psychological reports, outside reports) Follow Up with children post discharge: Coordinate follow up if they remain with the program for a year post discharge. Document the end date in E H R Obtain new insurance information Referrals for outside Mental Health Providers Work with the team to obtain medication consents, medication overrides, concurrent reviews for medication Admissions/Discharge tracking Billing responsibilities Other duties as required Minimum Requirements HS Diploma or some College experience, preferable in the field of Human Services Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to multitask Compliance with: Required background checks, including NYS Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse/Maltreatment, NYS Sex Offender Registry, NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services fingerprinting, NYS Justice Center Staff Exclusion List, NYS OMIG Medicaid Exclusion List. Mandated reporter training.
