The primary focus of this role is to provide insurance collections support to the Billing and Collections Clients.

Essential Job Functions

• Liaison between Billing and Collections, Clients and IKS

• Oversight of revenue cycle and accounts receivable for multiple provider offices

• Review and complete tasks sent by IKS through the Optimix platform

• Approve/Deny appeals sent thru Optimix platform for accuracy

• Mail approved appeals from Optimix platform

• Generate appeals/reconsideration letters as needed to payers to resolve denials/underpayments

• Perform follow up activities on accounts to ensure prompt payment

• Monitor insurance claims denial and identifies denial trends

• Review Time Sensitive Documents and take appropriate action

• Provide Customer Service to the Billing and Collections Clients via email/phone calls

• Maintains open line of communication with Team and Manager

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines

• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed

Other Essential Tasks/Responsibilities/Abilities

• Knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Government Payor guidelines

• Understanding of insurance benefits and reimbursements

• Ability to comprehend various insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts and follow detailed procedures in an efficient manner

• Knowledge of medical terminology

Education, Experience, Skills, and Requirements

• High school diploma /GED

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Experience working with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
