Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Heavy Civil Company in the Arizona area on their search for a Project Coordinator.

Job Title: Project Coordinator (APM - Sr. PM positions available)

Project Types: Heavy Civil, Underground, Utilities, Environmental

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Construction Coordinator to manage the billing and invoicing process for construction projects. In this role, you will ensure accurate financial tracking, timely invoicing, and coordination with project managers and accounting teams. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth cash flow and providing administrative support to ensure the success of heavy civil construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing and Invoicing:

  • Prepare and issue timely and accurate progress billings and final invoices for construction projects.
  • Review contracts, change orders, and project schedules to ensure invoices are aligned with contract terms and conditions.
  • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues related to payment applications or invoicing.

Coordination with Project Teams:

  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and accounting staff to ensure proper documentation is in place for billing.
  • Ensure that all work completed is documented and billed according to the terms of the contract.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain and verify billing information as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction billing, accounting, or related fields.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with construction contracts, progress billing, lien waivers, and AIA billing documents.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage 300, or Viewpoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, JD Edwards).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients.
