SIGNING BONUS! BCDI is hiring a Billing Specialist for our growing team! The Billing Specialist verifies healthcare charges against established rates for diagnosis, treatment, services, and supplies; maintains patient accounts via automated billing system, and submits claims to a wide variety of payment sources including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and other third party reimbursors. Requirements
  • 2+ years billing experience preferred.
  • Experience with billing Part B drugs a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology utilized in medical billing, current office practices and procedures, and basic math.
  • Ability to elicit and evaluate information, sometimes of a highly personal and sensitive nature.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and with extensive detail.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn procedure and disease codes utilized in medical billing.
  • Knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and techniques.
