Summary:
Responsible for billing functions; applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and perform accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of billing transactions. This includes processing, distribution and maintenance of records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance.
* Acts as liaison between corporate and branch locations.
* Works closely with the Accounting department as needed.
* Completes month-end closings.
* Enters data into customer portals; Inputs and monitors invoices in customer portals.
* Completes customer billing on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly basis.
* Closes schedules; Audits schedules.
* Assists with audits as needed.
* Performs other office duties as needed to ensure smooth financial processes.
* Calculates billing charges based on information entered in WinTeam by branch office or by the account manager.
* Processes invoices; Prepares and distributes invoices to customers.
* Researches and resolves billing issues with customers; Enters discrepancies and revises incorrect invoices.
* Keys monthly reoccurring billing adjustments.
* Imports, edits and checks billing and reoccurring adjustments.
* Processes monthly and weekly mobile patrol services, weekly alarm responses, and credit requests.
* Assists in maintaining accurate contact information in WinTeam and keeps contact information updated on invoices entered into WinTeam.
* Ensures accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses and that all tasks and duties completed are done within the company's set guidelines and policies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies, and procedure manuals using English language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management Systems; Internet programs; Human Resources Systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and WS Office software.
