The Bindery Cutter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cutting machinery to produce precise and high-quality packaging materials according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain cutting machinery to produce packaging materials such as boxes, cartons, and labels.
  • Interpret job orders and customer specifications to ensure accurate production of cut materials. Monitor machinery during operation to ensure adherence to quality standards and adjust as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance to minimize downtime. Inspect finished products for defects, such as incomplete cuts or misaligned designs, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals and meet customer deadlines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Cutter Operator or similar role in a printing and packaging manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and maintain cutting machinery effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise and high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to operating machinery.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility. Regularly expose to noise, dust, odors, and oils.
