Job Summary:

We are looking for a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider to be part of our Integrated Behavioral Health Team caring for pediatric patients at our Nappi Wellness Center and other ambulatory pediatric locations within the Upstate Community. As an autonomous provider working with a multidisciplinary team you will:

  • Be part of the direct care staff in performing psychiatric assessments and evaluations as well as medication management

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to identify patients who will benefit from additional mental health services.

  • Use your clinical knowledge and interpersonal skills to train other staff on plans and protocols and ensure a safe transition of care from one person to the next

  • Respond appropriately to psychiatric and behavioral emergencies.

  • Demonstrate your commitment to care for an underserved population as this requires a unique level of compassion for both patients and families including the ability to communicate with cultural awareness.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.

Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.

CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pediatric and Psychiatry experience.

Work Days:

Monday through Friday, Day Shift, No call or Weekends
