Biology Academic Advisor - Stony Brook University : Job Details

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). One (1) year of full-time related experience or equivalent via part-time, student, internship or graduate assistant experience with student-centered support activities such as academic advising, admissions, orientation programs, career counseling or other student development programs in a college or university setting. Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or in any area of biology or a related scientific discipline. Experience working with or teaching undergraduates in life science disciplines. Experience advising undergraduate students. Proficiency with software tools for desktop publishing and management of student advising.
