A leading innovative healthcare company, specializing in the service of medical equipment for healthcare systems and hospitals, is currently hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) II with minimum 3 years experience in the repair and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.Job SummaryMaintain equipment by performing necessary repair, periodic maintenance and operational verification procedures. Performs skilled, technical and advisory work in the repair, maintenance and calibration of general and/or complex medical equipment. Performs quality assurance testing and calibration. This position is expected to have the ability to multi-task several projects.•Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs medical equipment and systems utilizing established electronic tests and measurement equipment and techniques.•Performs scheduled maintenance, calibrations and/or modifications on medical equipment and systems, in accordance with department procedures, manufacturers' recommendations, specifications and/or other applicable codes and standards.•Trains medical and clinical staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment and systems. Interacts with clinical staff on a regular basis to insure needs are being met.•Must be familiar with medical equipment technology, and networking technology.•Documents and maintains accurate records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, etc. performed on all equipment.•May install or assist in the installation of new medical equipment, modifications. •Requests and/or orders necessary repair and spare parts according to established procedures and contract relationships.Qualifications•Associate Degree or its equivalent in electronics, biomedical equipment technology strongly preferred or its equivalent in military service training.•Minimum of three or more years of hospital-based or medical equipment serviceexperience.•Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel).•Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking technology.•Valid US state driver's license and good driving record.RequirementsEducation and Experience:MINIMUM of 3 years biomedical equipment repair.AA or 2 year certificate in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent military experience.Skills and Abilities:An aptitude for understanding the operation of electronic, electromechanical and pneumatic devices.Able to work independently in repair, periodic maintenance and operational verification of medical equipment.COMPLETE BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING REQUIRED.Must have a valid US driver's license and good driving record.Must be able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
