Location Newtown Athletic Club Description The Parties and Events Associate delivers friendly and efficient customer service while ensuring a smooth operational running of Children's Parties and other private or NAC club functions.Responsibilities & ExpectationsGreet the client host with an upbeat voice and welcoming smile; communicate with them throughout the duration of the event to ensure everything exceeds their expectations.Work in partnership with party parents ensuring that feedback (recommendations and/or complaints) are brought to the attention of the Director of Parties and dealt with promptly and efficiently to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and the club.Ensure the party space (both eating and activity areas) are immaculately clean and correctly set up prior to guests arrival.Supervise the games or activities to ensure a fun, high energy and a safe party environment.Serve party food and beverages to guests at the appropriate times.Ensure the very highest operational standards are upheld with regards to cleanliness, facilities, staff, safety and service at all times.Continually clean up after guests to ensure a neat party room.Encourage a fun party atmosphere at all times including organizing cutting of the cake and singing happy birthday .Assist with sales and marketing activities such as the promotion and administration of parties, collection of customer feedback and positively contributing to public relations efforts.Other duties may be assigned.Education and/or Experience:Experience working with children preferred, but not mandatoryHospitality experience preferred, but not mandatoryPosition Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Friendly, welcoming, outgoing personality requiredUpbeat, positive and optimistic attitude requiredPatient, courteous listener with the ability to show empathy requiredAbility to interact professionally with multiple levels of personnel within the organization internally and externally.Effective verbal communication skills a mustOutstanding time management and organizational skills to work in a multi-task, fast paced environment with the general supervision.Full weekend availability is a must.Physical Demands:May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk frequently during the day. May stand four (4) to eight (8) hours per day. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
