Job Title: Blow Molding Department ManagerLocation: DFW AreaReports To: Operations Manager / Plant ManagerJob Summary:The Blow Molding Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blow molding department, creating a safe work culture, ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing machine uptime and maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on role involves managing a small team of operators and technicians, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, adherence to production schedules, implementation of capital projects, and creation of a preventive maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blow molding technology, equipment reliability and maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:Department Leadership:Lead and manage the blow molding department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.Supervise, train, and develop a team of operators, technicians, and other staff members.Production Management:Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.Troubleshoot production issues, including equipment malfunctions, material defects, and process deviations, and implement corrective actions.Lead maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.Safety and Compliance:Promote a culture of safety within the department, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage waste reduction initiatives.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in blow molding or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong knowledge of blow molding processes, equipment, and materials.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (preferred).Compensation:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans, and paid time off..
