Project a positive, helpful and professional attitude to our customer. Meet or exceed customer expectations of repairs at all times.

Assist with assigning repairs to body technician qualified to make repair.

Issue copy of work order to body technician.

Ensure body technician reads and understands repair as written.

Document time allowed on repair order, to complete repairs.

Review body technicians progress of repair.

Review and quality check repair, test drive as needed.

Review repair order upon completion for proper hours charged and proper parts charged.

Follow guidelines in Elite Support.

Review open repair order report weekly, follow up to make sure RO's are closed as soon as work is completed.

SHOP:

Maintain a clean, safe and presentable service area.

Supervise daily general cleanup of break areas, work areas, locker rooms and weekly scrubbing all floors and benches.

Maintain overhead doors, walk in doors, windows and walls.

Maintain all shop equipment in operational order, follow proper procedure for replacement of any inoperable or unsafe shop equipment including ladders.

SAFETY:

Perform shop safety inspections quarterly and send to the Operations Manager.

Train employees on safety procedures such as, jack stands, safe lifting practices, use of chalk blocks, removing keys from ignition when not in use, etc.

All power tools should be kept in original operational manner with all safety devices attached.

Ensure all personal protection equipment as required by the policy book are worn by all body shop technicians, including safety glass and steel toed boots.

Train new incoming body technicians and track progress.

BULLETINS AND WARRANTY:

Read and understand all aspects of the warranty manual on Freightliner's website.

QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR JOB:

Must have the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Drivers License and the ability to test drive Class 8 trucks.

Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.

Have knowledge and expertise in using special body shop tools.

Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties.

Must have efficient reading and communication skills.
