About Us:We are a private, state-approved school for students with disabilities located in Morris County, NJ. As part of our team, you'll work in a supportive, mission-driven environment where you'll gain hands-on experience in accounting and bookkeeping.Role Overview:This entry-level Bookkeeper/Entry Level Accountant Role offers valuable, foundational experience in a finance department. Starting as a temporary position, it has the potential to become permanent based on performance and department needs. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and looking to build a career in accounting, this role could be a great fit!Key Responsibilities:Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and New Jersey Department of Education regulationsProcess accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)Support payroll reporting using ADP Workforce NowRecord journal entries and assist with invoice processingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparationPerform general ledger and account reconciliationsPrepare financial statements and ad hoc reportsWhat We're Looking For:Experience: 1-2 years in bookkeeping or accounting, with familiarity in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Office toolsEducation: Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, of Business Administration preferred)Skills: Excellent organizational skills, a knack for numbers, and a willingness to learn and growBonus Experience: Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and NJDOE private school accounting practicesWhy Join Us?This role is ideal for someone eager to expand their accounting skills in a learning-focused setting.
