Bookkeepers are responsible for handling a store's basic accounting, record keeping, and clerical obligations. This includes assisting in payroll preparation and covering store telephones. Additionally, Bookkeepers regularly communicate with employees regarding issues such as payroll policies.A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Accounting tasks such as collecting accounts receivable and counting moneyAssisting in payroll preparation and postingDaily register pulls to determine whether tills are over, under, or evenDaily settlements with route employees that involve matching correct ticketsCompleting accounting forms and records as well as filing this data and/or entering it into a computerClerical duties such as answering the telephone and using the office equipmentCommunicating payroll policies and company procedures to employeesAnswer telephone in a timely manner and utilize Krispy Kreme greeting proceduresOther duties as assignedYOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to handle money competently and responsiblyStrong organizational skillsModerate computer knowledge and adding machine skillsPass a pre-employment criminal background checkCross train on other essential store functionsPrevious bookkeeping experience is preferredNY ONLY: Subject to any legally required accommodations and applicable state or local law, Krispy Kreme requires all employees in NYC to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of hire.
