POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining and recording a complete and systematic set of business transactions. Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and payable. May also administer payroll process; produce federal, state and local tax payments; maintain records. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills
- Associates degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years of non-profit accounting experience, using computerized QuickBooks accounting systems
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail
- Exceptional organization

KEY ROLES Competency Areas: Leadership
Compile regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, etc.) to support management-level decision-making regarding the Club's fiscal health using QuickBooks/other computerized management systems. Strategic Planning
Work closely with outside auditors in implementing any recommended controls or procedures intended to improve Club financial recordkeeping. Monitor daily accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Resource Management
Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records by entering, processing, and reconciling transactions in accordance with established procedures and formats. Implement day-to-day accounting activities, processing all financial transactions and reports through administrative systems, consistent with Club policies and procedures. Relationships
- Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions
- External: Maintains contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
