We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks.Key Responsibilities:Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.Process payroll for employees, including calculating hours, deductions, and bonuses.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.Generate financial reports as needed, including profit and loss statements.Handle billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with clients or vendors.Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to compliance regulations.Requirements:Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant (2+ years preferred).Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong organizational and communication skills.High school diploma required; Associates degree in Accounting or related field preferred.Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with accounts receivable and general ledger.Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance.Certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
