This position's duties include creating and analyzing financial reports and ensuring legal requirements compliance, processing accounts payable and receivable and managing invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate holds a Finance degree and is familiar with accounting software packages.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for a private investigation firm with annual revenues of approximately $6 million.
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable and manage invoicing and client payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by management.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor cash flow regularly.
Skills & Tools:
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks Online
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling numbers.
Background & Experience:
- Minimum of an associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably in a similar industry.
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving:
- Ability to identify discrepancies or financial irregularities and investigate their causes.
- Capacity to develop and implement efficient and secure procedures for financial management.
- Skilled at budget forecasting and providing financial advice to management based on trends and data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with financial reporting and tax preparation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.
