Bookkeeper/Receptionist - Johnny's Markets : Job Details

Position Summary:

Johnny's Markets is changing the way people think about convenience stores, as a receptionist/bookkeeper, you'll play a key role in keeping our financial records organized at our chain of 60+ locations. With direction from our Clerical Supervisor, you'll ensure that detailed bookkeeping work is completed in a timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Electronically audit and categorize invoices from Docuware trays to assigned folders.

* Report errors to assigned locations.

* Troubleshoot issues with site Managers and provide support as needed.

* Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines for completing assigned bookwork.

* Other duties as assigned; potentially to include auditing multiple bookwork categories from software for assigned locations.

Additional Receptionist Responsibilities:

* Answer direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner and route to appropriate person.

* Welcome screened visitors in a warm and friendly manner and answer any questions visitors have.

* Maintain the reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times.

* Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received.

* Update office attendance daily.

* Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

* Basic mathematical skills.

* Understanding of basic accounting principles.

* Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

* Works well in a team environment.

* Analytical thinking skills.

* High school graduate or equivalent (GED).

* Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
