Bottling Technician - Pernod Ricard USA : Job Details

Position Summary:Under general supervision, efficiently operates Mumm Napa tirage and disgorge bottling equipment using a wide variety of technical, mechanical and manual skills, monitoring and ensuring the product quality in adherence to standards and specifications. Troubleshoots problems when required to maximize process efficiency and meet production plans. Assists with the inventory control and traceability for all Mumm Napa packaging materials, operating supplies, and finished goods inventories including recording of material movements, data entry, and physical inventory activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operation of MN production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating proceduresResponsible for safely operating all winery equipment, adherence to PPE policies, identification of risks and hazards, and recommendations for improvements to reduce and/or eliminate any unsafe conditionsMaintains mechanical bottling equipment including change-overs, troubleshooting, and light repairsTransfers and tracks packaging materials and finished goods as required in the bottling departmentDelivers BOM supplies to the bottling lines as directed by Work Order instructionsResponsible for the inventory control of packaging materials, operating supplies, and finished goodsAssists with the data entry and reporting of bottling related movements/transactions into bottling databases and PRW USA's ERP system as requiredResponsible for the quality control and traceability of Mumm Napa packaging and finished goods inventoriesMonitor, measure, and track data related to the performance of bottling equipment (i.e downtime, quality failures, etc.)Troubleshoots all quality and inventory related issues; completes problem solving and investigations as assignedProvides back up support for warehousing and mix-riddle operationsMoves products and supplies throughout the warehouse by use of forkliftSupports Mumm Napa harvest activities including fruit receival, operation of grape presses, and/or cellar related tasksMay coordinate and or deliver goods/documentation between departmentsResponsible for all sustainability matters in assigned work area, completes regularly scheduled inspections/audits, and notifies supervisor of any required attentionMonitor, measure, and track environmental data related to bottling operations, identification of any non-compliance issues and/or opportunities for improvement related to use of natural resources and influences to waste streamsOther duties as assignedSkills / Qualifications / Experience:Essential:Minimum 2 years winery production environment experience requiredAbility to prioritize, manage workflow, and meet deadlinesExperience operating and maintaining manufacturing equipmentAccuracy and attention to detail a mustAble to maintain composure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to repeatedly lift 40-50 lb. packagesForklift certificationBasic mechanical skillsProblem Solving toolsKnowledge of good manufacturing practicesDesirable:Previous wine bottling experience preferredBilingual verbal and written proficiency (Spanish/English)Proficiency in ERP software systems, and Microsoft OfficeBasic statistical process controlInterpersonal communication skillsContinuous improvement toolbox (5S, SMED)Special Conditions:Flexible working hours and ability to work overtime as requiredWorking conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involved exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts and long hours may be required during harvest. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs is requiredPay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data.
