Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: Drive a box truck to deliver/pick up parts at the outside suppliers or at our NTN dock. Drive a sit down forklift to load/unload truck if the NTN dock driver is unavailable. Fill out necessary documentation and bill of ladings.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for 5S
  • Complete daily checklists and logs
  • Drive fork lift to load and unload box truck if dock driver is unavailable
  • Use RF scanner or write out a Manual BOL to log shipment you load from NTN dock(s)
  • Write out a Manual BOL if an extra stop(s) is required
  • Document issues observed during initial inspection and throughout shift
  • Pick up and deliver parts to plants or any outside processes
  • Communicate with dock personnel
  • Communication during shift change about pertinent information
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CDL- Class B required - manual endorsement requested
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal written communications skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • High School Diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strength and Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy packages, up to 50-100 lbs.
  • Driving Skills: Proficient in operating large vehicles, with excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Endurance: Long hours on the road, requiring physical and mental endurance.
  • Dexterity: Capable of handling the vehicle's controls and performing tasks such as loading and unloading.
  • Physical Health: Good overall fitness to manage physical demands of the job.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow delivery schedules, navigation, and safety protocols.
  • Problem Solving: Quick decision-making for traffic issues, weather conditions, or mechanical problems.
  • Focus: Consistent concentration while driving, especially over long distances.
  • Stress Management: Coping with deadlines, traffic, and unexpected situations while remaining calm.
  • Time Management: Efficient route planning and delivery schedule adherence.
